With Corbin dead and the Enterprise fast approaching Admrial Dutrai's target of choice, Hart was told to take command of the remaining crewmen or watch them die. Hart reluctantly did while Taggart managed to sneak back on board and find some clothing. The bridge crew consisted of Hart, Scaithanna, Kivicus, and De Burbon. As they approached The USS Zues arrived and launched her fighters at the Denworlder ship. At the same time the enterprise bridge crew, bolstered by the appearance of Diagessi and Freeman retook the bridge as Hart sent a shipwide order to retake the ship. Diagassi quickly take command over from Hart. At the same time Taggart moved and led the crew to retake engineering from the denworlders. The two federation ships then began to do battle with the Charventra.
