» Reading Logs on Mobile Devices

Hey Guys,
In working on the UCF web site and talking about apps I had kind of a lightbulllbbbb . The Nova sites all have what are known as RSS Feeds in them, basically a way to stream our logs to sites or devices.
So, if you are on a mobile device just goto you app store/market and do a search for an RSS Reader.
Once you get it downloaded you\'ll need the following links to put in:
http://www.usss-enterprise.com/index.php/feed/posts
http://www.usss-enterprise.com/index.php/feed/news
Once you add those two links into the RSS Reader you\'ll be able to read the logs and news without trying to sort through your e-mail for them.
We\'re still working on an Android app for logging but, that should make it easier to at least read what\'s coming in. Enjoy

» Promotion Requirements and Minimums - Important, Please Read

Hey Guys,
Since we moved out of UCIP and into our own org we have seen a few things change. I dropped quite a bit on you to start so I held off on this one, Promotion requirements.
Now, we decided that we were not going to have minimum promotion times like UCIP and that, unless it was a CO promotion or rank over Commander or equivalent, that any promotions were at the discretion of the sim CO.
What that means is there are some different things we are looking for on Enterprise now if your wanting promotions:
* Initiative - Does the person start logs? Do they log or joint log off of the plot log (ie - there were quite a few mentioned in recent logs)? Etc.
* Participation - Is the person meeting at least the 1 log a week minimum - 1 page/five paragraphs? Is the person taking information from the other logs and trying to carry the plot forward? Etc.
* Communication - Does the person communicate LOA\'s? Does the person communicate missing a week? Does the person try to communicate and interact with other crew (through jl\'s at least, preferably outside of logging too. Yes, we really can tell, those who talk tend to jl more and tend to have more free flowing jl\'s :))? Etc.
That\'s it. Those three points are what we look for when we do promotions and such. Enterprise needs to start getting all crew logging again, we have kind of slacked off there, myself included by not following up and poking the sim at times.
That is going to change, though. My goal is that we have at least 90% participation again with everyone hitting all points above by August.

Mission Description:
In the wake of massive cutbacks and resource mismanagement in the Federation and attacks on both aligned and non-aligned world by those posing as Starfleet a new government has been proposed. Built in the image of the former United Confederation Fleet or UCF they will be forces and politicians drawn from participating worlds. In theory to allow better access to those who do not wish to join the Federation. However, in these dark times will it succeed?
Plot Summery:
The Enterprise remains in orbit of Ra\'mid and UCF Headquarters. The crew are on RnR while the ship gets repaired then are able to return and settle in and start training the different government personnel to be a single unit.
