| Personal History | Soft and elegant Isabeau de Borbon is the epitome of elegance and grace physically, but the heart of a wounded lion that lies just beneath the surface. Having grown up the product of a marital affair, Isabeau never knew love aside from her mother as her father was a Spanish royal before his untimely death shortly after her 5th birthday. Her mother was run out of Spain by her paternal grand mother and she was raised in a poor section of County Wicklow, Ireland. Strong, but naive, Isabeau found herself mostly angry and alone, having to raise herself while her mother worked three jobs in her attempts to support them. Her strong dislike for her paternal family only continued to rise after her paternal grandmother passed and made it known in writing that Isabeau was her greatest disappointment, as her son had never produced another heir with his barren wife. Being the unofficial next in line for the throne and only fifteen years of age, Izzy made the choice to renounce herself as Queen and remained in Ireland much to her mother's chagrin. Isabeau was out of a home soon after. At the age of sixteen and showing great promise in school and science classes, she was coerced into joining the Irish Republican Army as Ireland has been in civil war since the year 1916. Shortly after learning of her birth name and family tree an undercover agent was quick to smuggle her out of the operation before she could completely become affiliated with the group. Angry and spiteful for it after a rough start, Isabeau was far from eager to comply with any form of authority until she was offered the best thing anyone could offer a roughed up teenager; a better education and a pass into one of the greatest organizations the universe had ever seen. After being told the options: A.) Take it and succeed, or B.) Live on the streets and most certainly be thrown in jail as a terrorist or murdered, Isabeau chose to take the offer and was quickly taken to the United States under the wing of a Starfleet Academy Instructor who's chosen to remain anonymous. The next three years were a blur as she continued to thrive in her academics and graduated from high school as the valedictorian of her class. Beauty and brains combined with a lethal temper gave her an even better edge as her mentor was quick to keep good on his promise and away to Starfleet Academy she went... With the added boost of a finishing school to polish off some of her rough edges just in case the young woman ever succeeded in becoming a Starfleet Captain as per the hopes and desires of her mentor. After another four years of schooling and finishing, Isabeau emerged as a shining star instead of the blustery and badly scuffed upstart that had been found in an Irish Hellhole just seven years before. Graduating with her final over-all grade a 92% A she was awarded her first mission aboard the USS Warrior as their Chief Tactical Officer; her favored area of expertise. | |
