General Overview Aliyra was born a full blood Betazoid female, but given her forced time in the temporal 'pocket' for lack of better explanation, her genetic coding has been changed on such a fundamental level, that there's little chance of her ever being able to revert back to being as she used to be.
Strengths & Weaknesses Much like she was born, Aliyra is telepathic, but with the genetic changes forced on her, she is telekinetic, but the telekinetic capabilities are rather limited to only under times where she is highly upset or agitated. Since the changes, she also is a bit more sensitive towards cold, preferring a slightly warmer and more humid climate.

Personal History Aliyra was the first child born to Arwen and Nadira Stadi. Arwen, served as a Federation Ambassador, and was known for taking his family on many of his various visits to other worlds. Nadira, however raised her children of the traditional Betazoid customs. At first it was thought that Aliyra might follow in her father's footsteps, but her sister began to show more aptitude for diplomacy and tact. Aliyra, was more fascinated by the various technologies and how they worked, etc. So, after an extended visit to a remote world that had asked for assistance, Aliyra applied for the Academy and was accepted. Her mother feared though that she would be unhappy in the setting of a starship with so many who did not understand the mental toll that non-telepaths could have on her, but she quickly adapted. It was also feared that she would be like so many other Betazoid women that entered Starfleet, and not want to marry, but her marriage to John Liconie had served to alleviate her mother's fears on that score.

Not long after their marriage, their son Johnathon was born. When John was recalled facing a court martial, Aliyra was granted command of the USS Thunderchild, which was quickly sent out on a deep space assignment. Reluctant to be so far away from both her husband and son, she understood her duties as the acting CO, and went on the mission. Passing through the edges of what the sensors had read as a simple plasma eruption from a nearby nebula, the Thunderchild began to experience massive system issues. Communication being chief amongst them.

With the return to the current time, not realizing that nearly 12 years had passed, she is forced to deal with the challenges ahead.

Much of Aliyra's earlier service record was suppressed due to duties in SSF. During a mission, where she was assigned to the USS Thunderchild to act as a Operations Officer, she worked her way to becoming the Executive Officer of the ship, and to the chagrin of her superiors fell in love with and married the CO John "Razor" Liconie.
