Captain's Yacht - USS Cadmus

The Captain's Yacht is a lavish transport vessel, used for ferrying diplomats or other high-position figures about. The yacht is equipped with a compartment that can be converted to executive quarters or a stateroom for high-profile guests. It is the only completely unarmed craft on board, giving it a much more peaceful feeling to it. It even lacks the characteristic mottled armor plate of all the other craft on board, allowing for a dazzling chromic sheen to its hull. Its sole defense is its very powerful shield system, the most powerful ever installed on a small craft.

The Enterprise's yacht is named the Cadmus, named after the Greek god of the sea's friend Cadmus who killed a dragon and sowed its teeth, from which sprang up an army of men who fought one another until only five survived. With these five men Cadmus founded the city of Thebes.
